MISI Strengthens Community Ties Through Partnership with Bach Viet

Sacramento, CA – July 2025

My ISI (MISI) is excited to announce a new community partnership with Bach Viet, an organization dedicated to helping refugees—especially English-limited individuals—find employment that matches their skills and experience. This collaboration aims to provide Afghan refugees and other newcomers with access to both job placement services and MISI’s Enhanced Care Management (ECM) support.

During the meeting, MISI’s Hafiz Mohammadi, Mohammadi Rustam Sobhi, and Nasir Ahmad Shahim met with Mr. Shaheer from Bach Viet to explore ways to work together in serving the Afghan community. The discussion focused on creating a referral system in which Afghan refugees receiving job placement assistance from Bach Viet can also access MISI’s ECM services, including housing navigation, medically supportive food, and care coordination.

Bach Viet’s mission is to support refugees in need by helping them achieve economic stability and rebuild their lives. Through this partnership, MISI and Bach Viet will work hand-in-hand to ensure Afghan refugees not only secure meaningful employment but also receive the health and housing support they need to thrive.

“This collaboration allows us to address multiple needs for our Afghan community members helping them settle into good jobs while making sure they have the resources to sustain their health and stability”

MISI looks forward to a lasting partnership with Bach Viet, grounded in the shared commitment to empower refugees and strengthen community well-being.
