Partnership
Cooperation with Volunteers of America — Accelerating the Path to a Stable, Dignified Life
We are proud to announce our strong partnership with Volunteers of America (VOA) — one of the nation’s largest and oldest charitable organizations. Founded in 1896 by Ballington and Maud Booth, VOA continues to uphold its mission: “to go wherever we are needed and do whatever comes to hand.”
About Volunteers of America
Today, VOA operates across 46 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, serving more than 400 communities nationwide. Each year, it provides critical assistance to 1.5–2 million people, including:
- Veterans and their families
- People experiencing homelessness
- Seniors and those with limited abilities
- Individuals rebuilding their lives after incarceration
- People facing addiction and health challenges
VOA’s programs span healthcare, housing, rehabilitation, employment, and social integration, offering holistic support to those in need.
Our Joint Mission
Through our partnership with VOA, we combine strengths to break the cycle of instability:
- Employment & Training: VOA supports members in finding jobs, developing skills, and achieving financial independence.
- Housing & Healthcare: MISI Community Solutions provides safe, stable housing while coordinating access to medical care and essential services.
This dual effort addresses two of the most interconnected barriers people face: without housing, it is harder to secure employment; without income, stable housing remains out of reach.
Why This Matters
By working together, we create a comprehensive pathway to recovery and stability.
Our shared approach allows people to:
- Regain stability: Housing becomes a foundation for rebuilding life.
- Strengthen resilience: Steady income and secure housing improve both emotional and physical well-being.
- Achieve lasting success: The synergy between VOA and our organization creates conditions where individuals not only survive but also thrive.
Our partnership reflects a simple yet powerful vision: helping people overcome complex challenges quickly and with dignity, so they can move toward a stable, decent life.
