MISI Meets with IRC Sacramento to Share Updates and Announce New Office for Afghan Community

MISI met with IRC to share updates. Meanwhile, they explored future collaboration. The two organizations have collaborated for years to support local refugee and immigrant communities.

During this meeting, MISI introduced its new Afghan community office. In addition, it is located at 2033 Howe Ave. In addition, the team shared information about MISI’s expanding services and upcoming initiatives.

MISI representatives — Hafiz Mohammadi, Mohammadi Rustam Sobhi, Ahmad Nasir Shahim, Irina Gorbenko, and Yassaman Vedad — met with Manezha Sukhanyar from IRC Sacramento. They discussed recent developments and explored new opportunities for collaboration.

The new office provides a welcoming, culturally informed space for Afghan clients. Here, community members can easily access programs, navigate services, and work toward long-term stability.

MISI provides housing deposit assistance, furniture, and health coordination. Moreover, these services support long-term stability. The new office strengthens MISI’s commitment to supporting Afghan individuals and families.

Meanwhile, IRC Sacramento provides essential services such as resettlement assistance, job readiness training, employment placement, English classes, youth programs, financial literacy education, and immigration legal support.

By aligning their efforts, MISI and IRC ensure that community members receive comprehensive, culturally appropriate support. Moreover, stronger coordination allows both organizations to serve more families effectively.
