Celebrating Community and Partnership

MISI Community Solutions & Sacramento Refugee Coalition

This summer, MISI Community Solutions proudly partnered with the Sacramento Refugee Coalition to honor the strength and resilience of immigrant and refugee communities. Together, we joined three powerful events that highlighted our shared commitment to inclusion and empowerment. These moments aligned with the global celebration of World Refugee Day and reinforced our dedication to community support.

Recognition at the Sacramento County Board Meeting

The series began with a meaningful moment at the Sacramento County Board Meeting. During the session, the contributions of immigrants were honored through a special resolution.

This recognition highlighted how immigrants enrich local communities through cultural traditions, diverse perspectives, and unwavering resilience. At MISI, we believe these voices spark innovation and strengthen neighborhoods.

We extend sincere appreciation to Genevieve Levy and the Sacramento Refugee Coalition for their tireless efforts. Their work brings together refugee-serving organizations and builds bridges across communities. Seeing representatives from various agencies unite was both inspiring and energizing.

The second event further strengthened this collaboration. The Mayor and City Council of Sacramento officially proclaimed June as World Refugee Month. MISI Community Solutions was honored to take part in this resolution recognition event.

The proclamation emphasized the city’s dedication to creating a welcoming environment for refugees who are rebuilding their lives in Sacramento. It also acknowledged the significant challenges they face, as well as their extraordinary resilience and contributions.

This moment celebrated courage, community, and the shared promise of a brighter future.

World Refugee Day Celebration at MISI

The third event took place close to home. MISI Community Solutions hosted a World Refugee Day Celebration at our Roseville office. Clients, community partners, and supporters came together for a meaningful gathering filled with cultural presentations, shared resources, and genuine conversations.

The celebration created space for networking, collaboration, and cultural exchange. Moreover, it affirmed our collective commitment to inclusion and support. Together, we honored the cultural identities refugees bring to our community and reinforced the importance of building welcoming spaces for all.

Together, we can build a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow.
